Shopian shootout : Injured militant admitted at SKIMS : Police | KNO

A militant was injured in last night’s shootout at a Shopian village, police said on Thursday.

He was shifted to SKIMS, Soura by locals and has under gone surgery last night. “Police authorities have learnt that one Asif Ashraf Malik S/O Ashraf Malik R/O Krawoora Shopian active since 19-10-2017 with outlawed outfit HM has been admitted with a bullet injury at SKIMS Soura where he has been given required medical treatment,” police said.

Preliminary investigation suggests that he was injured in the incident last night at Ahgam Shopian where militants from a swift car opened fire on an Army patrol, police said. A shootout between militants and government forces took place at Ahgam, Shopian last night.
